About Brian
  • I’m a strange person go ahead and ask anyone who knows me and they will concur. I’ve been strange since I was a child and I’ve just learned to accept it and continue on with what I was doing. As a matter of fact, I would have forgotten just how strange I am by now but my wife Terri of 18 years as been right by my side to remind me just how strange I am.
Brian's Story
  • Music got me interested in my career because I can’t get enough of it. I’m the type of guy who likes to get lost in it when I’m listening to music. My tastes run from music that is slow and sappy like America and Firefall, to heavier stuff from Bands like Tool and Rage and everything labeled rock in between. I can typically find something redeeming in anything with a melody as long as I feel the musicians involved are taking what they are doing seriously. Yeah, my tastes are broad but I draw a line with certain music types. I’ve lost all interest in Country these days and I don’t intend on every giving it a chance again. I can dig the old stuff from Hank and Willie and Waylon and those who pioneered the format because that came from the heart but the majority of Country these days has become too formulaic. I’m not a huge fan of Rap because it typically doesn’t use what makes music special to me. A Guitar and a Melody!!! I don’t like opera because I can’t understand what they are saying… other than that… I’m good to go… Put on a good Polka and I can feel it.
Brian's Involvements
  • I’ve got two boys that I’m raising and so far they have picked up none of my bad habits. Now that I’m a family man, I left the rock band thing that I did when I was younger. I spent age 17 to 35 or so moonlighting as lead vocalist with a little keyboard playing to help fill out the sound with different bands over those years, Ranging from high school garage bands to serious regional bands that toured a little and to local bands that got it’s ya-ya’s out in small clubs around the area. I was never close to the big time and never expected to get close; I just had a good time doing it. I realized I had to quit because my kids were young and demanding and it was too hard to function as a parent on Sunday morning when you got back from Warroad at 5AM. God, do I miss the band thing, but my life with my kids is beyond words and I have no regrets, just a little longing that would probably go away a couple of weeks later if I got back into it again.

My life is Family, Work and Youth Sports right now and it’s been blur.
