Anthrax is also gearing up for this year's Metal Alliance Tour
The guys in Anthrax are ready to unleash some of their favorite "Anthems."
The metal icons' new covers EP, titled "Anthems," arrived in record stores today. The eight-song set includes Anthrax's take on songs by AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Boston, Cheap Trick and Journey. There's also a cover of Rush's "Anthem," which has been given the stamp of approval from Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson himself.
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian recently told Rolling Stone that he got an e-mail from Lifeson explaining that he didn't know that Rush could have done it any better.
Meanwhile, Anthrax is also gearing up for this year's Metal Alliance Tour, which kicks off this Friday, March 22nd, in Anaheim, California.
