Paramore had the spirit of an unlikely artist with them while recording their upcoming self-titled fourth album. In an interview with "Drowned in Sound," frontwoman Hayley Williams says that the band spent some of the time recording inside Prince's room at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles.
She says that they were "just chillin'" inside Prince's room, where she'd heard he had lived for several years.
Williams' bandmate Taylor York adds that they "channelled Prince's energy" on the album because of how excited they were to be using that space. He says that Paramore even used the personal bathroom that Prince had built for himself at the time, and that it was a thrill just knowing that they shared a toilet!
