Jack White's Third Man Label plans to reissue more than 25,000 blues recordings on vinyl.

The label has struck a deal with Gary and Gillian Atkinson, who run the Document label out of their home in Scotland, to release their pre-war blues recordings.

Gary Atkinson tells the BBC that White wants to set about "releasing the full recorded works [in] chronological order. It's not a project for the faint-hearted." White adds, "It's very important to American history and also to the history of the world" to get these recordings back out into the public.
