Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier has left the band.

The group posted a brief note on their site saying, "Former lead singer Adam Gontier has left the group effective immediately due to a health issue" -- with no further details. My Darkest Days singer Matt Walst, the younger brother of 3DG bassist Brad Walst, will join the band for their tour with Shinedown, which starts February 1st in Moline, Illinois.

Brad Walst says, "We were surprised and distressed by Adam's sudden departure.  We are, however, very excited for this upcoming tour, and to have my brother Matt stepping in as lead singer."
