LOS ANGELES, October 6 (UPI) -- U.S. Olympic beach volleyball champion Misty May-Treanor, who is competing this season on Dancing with the Stars, has been injured, ABC confirmed.
"Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury on Friday and received immediate medical attention," the network said in a statement issued to Usmagazine.com. "Despite previous reports, she did not break her ankle. ... She is resting comfortably at home. Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show."

Reality TV personality Kim Kardashian, comedian Jeffrey Ross and actor Ted McGinley, along with their professional dance partners, have been eliminated from the competition.
Still in the running for the mirrorball trophy are singer Lance Bass, singer Toni Braxton, actress Brooke Burke, celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, Olympic runner Maurice Greene, soap star Susan Lucci, 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman, 18-year-old Hannah Montana co-star Cody Linley and former NFL player Warren Sapp.
